 COMELEC Borongan ends Voters Education program
To alleviate fears of more defective ballots this May 10
national elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) this city, together
with the City Interior and Local Government Office (CILG) held a series of
“Voters Education Program” in the barangays. It closed yesterday in barangay
Canlaray, an appendix barangay.

 5,039 PCOS machines reach Region 8; Comelec says 71 more being awaited
About 5,039 units of Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS)
machines which will be used in the various polling precincts in Eastern Visayas
have arrived in Tacloban City late last week but 71 units more are being awaited
in order to complete the total 5,110 PCOS machines requirement of Region 8.

 641 ballot boxes delivered to Eastern Samar today
More or less 641 COMELEC ballot boxes had been delivered
today by Air 21, the airline company which was contracted by Smartmatic. From
the Tacloban DZR airport, a ten-wheeler truck, trailed the five hour travel to
the city of Borongan where some 73 of these boxes were unloaded.
